My dad died this morning. I love him. I will miss him, but I know where he is, and I know he is happy there. I got to talk to him last night before my mom took him to the hospital, and told him that I love him. He was a good dad, present and involved all of my life. He taught me to see people for who they were, and respect them as individuals. He taught me that everyone, no matter how unimportant they were, had worth. He taught me to swim, and to drive fast (the verdict is still out on safe), to teach, to care. I'm going to miss him.
