De acuerdo con Sergio. Suena a un típico caso de mala tierra. A mi carro le tube que poner un cable extra del negativo de la batería hacia el chasis.

Si la bomba eléctrica es adaptada, podría ser que solo sacaron corriente de algún lado que no tiene capacidad para tanto amperaje. Si es así, hay que poner un relay con corriente y fusible de la batería y la corriente que actualmente tiene que sirva para activar el relay.
